Iced Tea Popsicles

As we enter the Pitta (fire-water) season of summer, a warm cup of tea might not sound so appealing.

So, how you can enjoy the benefits of drinking herbal tea while keeping cool?

We did some experimenting on your behalf and created an easy, icy treat for summer - Tea Popsicles! Super simple, so refreshing and fun for the whole family to make and enjoy.

These wonderful popsicles can be made with any of your favorite herbal teas, and even with our Golden Milk, Masala Chai, and Herbal Coffee blends, as seen above.

Ayurvedic tip: Cold/iced drinks and food are not recommended as part of everyday wellness because the cold decreases your digestive fire. However, when the environment becomes very hot, it can increase Pitta (fire element). In this case, cool foods can be helpful. The addition of digestive herbs in our teas also makes these popsicles more Ayurvedic-friendly. Please enjoy in moderation.

All you need is:

  • Popsicle molds (any kind will do)

  • Your favorite DelighTeas - shop on our website or Amazon Prime

  • Optional - Maple syrup or sweetener of choice

  • Optional - Milk of choice (for Golden, Chai & Herbal Coffee Pops)

How to make tea-pops:

  1. Brew your tea as normal. (Our tea infuser & everyday teapot are great for brewing loose teas)

  2. Let it cool slightly.

  3. Add a touch of Maple syrup or sweetener of choice.

  4. Add milk of choice if making Golden, Chai or Herbal Coffee Pops.

  5. Pour into molds and place in the freezer.

That's it! Enjoy these summer-ready tea-pops all season long while getting the benefits of our herbal teas and spice blends.

Ayurvedic tip #2: For the same reason noted above about enjoying cold drinks and foods in moderation, you can add 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. Golden Milk or Masala Chai blends to your smoothies and shakes to help keep agni (digestive fire) strong even when enjoying something cool.
