A Spring Reflection on Growth, Challenges & New Beginnings

What an "overnight success" really means to me...

This past weekend, I was taking a morning walk around my neighborhood. As I climbed to the top of a hill, it got me thinking about my entire journey with DelighTeas. It inspired me to put some thoughts into writing and share it with my friends, family & beloved DelighTeas supporters. Here is my reflection.

You know how, when you're climbing uphill, it gets tough? You feel tired, breathless, and challenged. Some moments aren’t so fun—and that’s okay. That’s how I felt during last month (April 2025), which was incredibly busy. We doubled our warehouse space, passed our USDA organic inspection, acquired a new large mixer and sifter, and launched on iHerb.com—all in one month. "Day by day" became more like "moment by moment."

And then comes the moment when you look back. You’re at the top. You’re exhausted, maybe too tired to want to celebrate, but you realize how far you’ve come. Maybe those “small victories” aren’t so small after all. Maybe they deserve to be celebrated.

Now, at the beginning of May, I sometimes feel like I’m at the top of the hill. But in other moments, I realize—it’s only the beginning. Maybe that’s why I still get butterflies.

Those closest to me know how hard I’ve worked over the past few years. They also know the sacrifices this journey has required. Every day, I choose to keep going—to stick to my values, to uphold the highest standards, and to continue building something I believe in.

Selling on iHerb.com means going worldwide. It may seem like an overnight success. But in truth, it’s an “overnight success” after 10 years of hard work. It means choosing top-quality ingredients. It means working days, nights, and weekends. It means missing events I’d love to attend. It means pushing through challenges and standing firmly behind everything I do.

iHerb doesn’t let just anyone sell on their platform—they evaluate and approve brands carefully. They needed to see a certain level of sales. They needed to see us in a top-tier retail chain.

Getting into Erewhon—one of the most upscale health food stores in the U.S.—was a long and rigorous process. Their standards are extremely high. But once we made it, it opened the door. iHerb approved our brand. Today, I’m proud to share that 14 of our teas are now sold worldwide through their platform.

For me, that’s what an “overnight success after 10 years of hard work” really means. And even now, I know—it’s still only the beginning.

I’m grateful for how far we’ve come, and even more excited for what lies ahead. I’m deeply thankful for the people who have supported DelighTeas along the way—especially my team, whose dedication and hard work have made so much of this possible. This achievement belongs not just to me, but to everyone who believed in our mission, our teas, and the passion behind them.

Here's to continuing the climb—with heart, with purpose, and with gratitude. Here’s to the next chapter—together.
