How to clean your teapot 🫖

For the love of tea…keeping your teapot clean can be hard work, or maybe it is just simply not done as often as it should.

Giving the quick rinse off might look like it works, but tea is one of those beverages that can build up in your teapot or travel mug if not cleaned correctly. Here is a simple, natural way to get your teapot sparkling once again.

What you will need:

  • 1/2 cup vinegar

  • 2 Tbsp baking soda

  • boiling water

Directions: Mix vinegar and baking soda together into the teapot or travel mug then fill slowly with the boiling water. It will start to fizz a little when mixing the vinegar and baking soda, so pour slowly. Let this mixture sit for a few hours, or overnight if it is really dirty.

After soaking, scrub with hot water and let it dry. Voila! Nice and clean for your next pot of tea.

Tea Tip: Empty infuser right away after brewing your tea. Leaving your tea in the infuser can add to the build up, plus tea can get bitter if you let it brew for too long.
